Terms of use

Acceptance
By using MD Resume (“the service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
MD Resume is a free, browser-based tool that turns Markdown into an A4 resume PDF. The website is static; the editor runs entirely in your browser. We do not guarantee that any particular application, recruiter or applicant tracking system will accept your resume.
We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time. Because the site is free and stateless, no data can be lost on our side — but local browser data can be lost if you clear it, so keep backups.
Your content
You own the resume content you write. We claim no license to it and never receive a copy. You are responsible for ensuring that what you write is accurate, lawful and does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service for unlawful, deceptive or harassing content.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass security controls or overload the hosting infrastructure.
- Do not resell the site as your own product or remove attribution from redistributed copies of the code.
- Automated access is permitted for indexing and AI retrieval, but not for denial-of-service or credential attacks.
Intellectual property
The site’s design, code, copy and the six template layouts are owned by the project and protected by applicable law. You may use the templates for personal and commercial resumes, documents and portfolios. You may not redistribute the templates as a competing template library.
Third-party advertising
The service is supported by advertising. Ads are provided by third parties and their content is not endorsed by us. Interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser. See the privacy policy for how consent affects ad loading.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. You use the service at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the project and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost opportunities or lost profits arising from your use of the service. Because the service is free, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
